I'm tired of getting off the phone with agents after accruing 4 years ncb, looking at quotes that I should be looking at had I said I've had a driving licence for 6 months, had 5 claims, spent '000s on mods and will be parking up each night in Moss Side. And I can't be bothered to take my stereo out. Or lock the doors.

I know this has been covered 800 times already, but what with premiums going up every year, which of you have you have actually got a good deal on a policy, and who's it with, if you don't mind me asking?

Just got my first Tuscan valued at £30K, 4 years no claims, just turned 30 (makes a big difference) fully comp for £760. That was with Tesco. Only issues is they do not do track day coverage and the biggest voluntary excess on the web is £250, however give them a call and they can increase this up to a £1000, mines at £500.
I was getting quotes in excess of £2500. Crazy money !!

Tesco - Brand new Tuscan S, £52450,00 35, full no claims, garaged, 10,000 miles a year, protected no claims and hire car = £820 would have been £690 without the no claims protection. Had quotes of £2000 plus!

I'm 51 with a standard (!) Tuscan and got £420 with Direct Line. Full no claims. Good luck.

I can't complain, Mannings are the same this year as last, admittedly I've never checked out anybody else, but I think I've got good value, and for me that's enough. At @ £500ish for 5000 miles this is value for my hard earned pounds and stops me wasting time searching.

Best Regards,

James Sim.

Cheers folks.

Tesco did indeed come in below most others, without the stringent limitations of use.

Not sure if they cover TVRs but Liverpool Victoria include track cover as part of their insurance.

I'm 29, and Tesco gave me a quote of £889, and that was undercutting everyone else by a considerable chunk.

That's the price you pay for having a London postcode though, I guess.
