Just got back from a holiday in Santorini... absolutely wonderful time.

One of the things that made it for me is there are no mozzies to worry you. I have been other places and they make my life a misery... I hate the sprays, creams, and all the devices etc.

So what other warm and mozzie / midge free destination are there?

Maldives are fairly mozzie free as the islands are frequently sprayed and there is very little standing water for them to breed in. Likewise for Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

Perhaps bizzarely - WaltDisneyWorld in Florida. They spray aggressively, apparently. And monitor with chickens. smile

All nasty biting flying things have seasons. Go outside said season and you'll be fine. Most people visit the West Highlands of Scotland in August. These people have obviously NEVER Googled!

Why on earth people come here in the worst month of the year - very busy - very rainy - most midges - never ceases to amaze. (And before you mention... Easter and Whitsun are also school hols)
