Canon 28-70mm f2.8L

I've been offered this L glass against a sigma 10-20mm f4 plus £360. What do you think?

This would be my first L lens and want it as a walk around lens. Any thoughts?

One of my mates has got one (used with a 7D). Can't say I was overly impressed but I only played around with it for 15-20 minutes.

Bite their hand off! The Sigma is worth £250 - £300 and the 28-70 is worth £800 - £900 so it sounds like you're about £200 up to me

A lot of people think the 28-70f2.8L is better than the 24-70f2.8L

But then for me 24 isnt wide enough on a crop let alone 28mm.

No good being great quality if it doesnt cover your fav focal lengths.
