I'm wanting to reduce my packing costs. I need to find a good and cheap manufacturer who can make custom sizing for plain card boxes. Anyone got any recommendations?

I've used these guys before with my last company, not the absolute cheapest, but offer a good service. Depends on the size of the boxes though how competitive they are.

My old company had just switched to Kennedy Smith from previous suppliers in China.

If I remember right, the prices were similar and the quality better for custom printed boxes!

I use greyhound box and packaging in Leeds. Might fall down on the cheap bit though!

Depends on the quantity your after, location etc. If large quantity, you need an integrated plant (which makes its own board) such as Rigid containers, Saica, DS Smith, Smurfit etc. If the quantities are smallish, you need a sheet plant (which buys sheetboard from the above and converts) of which there are hundreds to choose from. As its bespoke sizes etc you want, the many merchants out there will just buy from the above, add a mark up, and get direct delivered to you.

Hmm my Spideysense tells me you joined this car forum just to post an advertisement for your business... smile

I would guess though that once someone ships them from to the UK from you, they would no longer be 'cheap'.

As it's been brought up, I am in no way affiliated with these guys:

www.ascdirect.co.uk

They custom make boxes for us. You supply dimensions and format and the boxes come back in 3-4 days.

Not 'cheap', circa 80p a box, but very good quality, double walled, and we get virtually no breakages in shipping.
