Damian, I'm a luddite. Explain so I can break it!! I've seen these about and I know its something to do with a scanned image on app phones, but never used it. Don't have a clue how it works quite frankly. Pete

It works, but on my code reader it comes up as text rather than just directing me automatically though.

it's basically a 2d barcode or QR code can be read by android smartphones or iPhones (with app) and contains a web link.

People are putting them on posters business cards etc I was curious so sought out a generator on the web and made some up mainly for business reasons but did this one too.

just comes up as a "plain message tag" on my BB QR scanner ?

Wow - that's cool - downloaded an app to my blackberry - it then 'munched' the QR code, press 'copy' & 'paste' to the web browser & hey presto up comes your site

It's technology great

Just worked out what your site should be - Add the hhtp bit and you get this;



No cutting and pasting then..it just calls up the site directly.

Should I tell you? - Its not a trade secret, there are a number of sites that can do it, but I found it in the "other" things that you can do with google.

Open your web browser and paste in the following;

https://chart.googleapis.com/chart?chs=150x150&amp...

All you have to do is replace the "TVR%20S%20The%20thinking%20mans%20TVR" bit with whatever you like, ie "www.pistonheads.com" or "AutoAndy%20is%20a%20star"....etc

When you press return, google does it all for you...for free...and without any demand.

Then you paste the logo on anything, such as a lorry, a business card, your head, etc and it can be read.
