Its two cars on trailers and a bloke sitting down?

Sorry.

Looks like a 50's beetle and a cross between a 50's speedster and a corvette.

Matt.

I guess, you mean the white one:
Wheels look like beetle's, but the panorama-screen?
Maybe a converted Karman-Ghia?

PS 1953 Split Window Ragtop Beetle... the Ghia doesnt look that different to standard, just the side vents and lack of nistrils makes it look odd....

I'm going to throw the cat amongst the pigeons now.. I hope I'm not alone in saying that VW Beetles are insufferable pieces of shit. They don't go, they don't handle, they sound like an overloaded washing machine and they have the mechanicals of an ox-cart. Why do people insist on driving them - and what on Earth makes people think they are cool????

And don't give me all this flannel about 'classic car' and designed by Porsche in the 30's and biggest selling car ever and all that blah blah blah.. they're just shit, okay?

Bollocks carzee, they are an icon of the 50`s 60`s 70`s and a major design leap for the time also they were reliable and simple transport at a time when reliable was a dirty word

They are cool. Especially when your 17 and it's your first car. They look totally unique to every other box on the road. Yes they are technically shite but it's all about character. Chill.

Totally unique? What about the other 21 million Beetles out there ;-)

When I were a lad, one of my schoolfriends was given one as a birthday present. He used to be able to to a brilliant impression of the exhaust note!

Surely that's "weapons of mass production".

Premeditated acts of gross bad taste, at least.

Beatles, VW Camper vans and all of their kin are absolute shit. They should all be thrown on the automotive bonfire along with their 'iconic' status. I really fg hate Beetles. Invariably driven by students or crusty left wing communist party activists who would get there faster by using their sandal clad feet.

Their remarkable reliability makes it even more infuriating. Die Beetles Die.

Hate Beetles all that so different cp they can stick it where the sun dont shine. Oh and the small engine is in the wrong end.

Take them up to Blackpool show them what a real car is and toss (nrrf) them off the pier.

DIE SCOUNDRELS DIE

How can you malign a motor so much.. what did it ever do to you (barring the dreadful Herbie Films)..

They aren't driven by Tw&ts with caps on Backwards, are reliable (yes they are!), spacious, cheap to run, cheap to insure, have character, good roadholding for what they are (try one in the snow !). Rear Wheel Drive (a good start) and you can put a 2.7l Carrera engine in the back without too much fuss (or bigger)

Cheers

What cods. I thought they were underpowered nonsense until I did a flit round Europe in a camper van ten years ago. Belching out smoke it was and wouldn't do more than 50mph but it was hiliarious fun to drive.
