Whilst not strictly TVR Tuscan Challenge, Charlie Kemp was competing in the Northern Sports & Saloon car championship at Croft on Sunday in his TVR Tuscan when he had a little bump with a Caterham (I think)

Before

and after

Thing was it didn't seem to slow him down

Cheers
Ian

He was battling for second at the time but after a couple of laps he pitted he may have been flagged in, I don't know, also Hedgetrimmer I said I think he came together with a Caterham, I was at the other end of the straight and the Caterham came down with damage also but he may have hit some bollards, I really coudn't see that well

Hmmm, looks like that went over your head. Bollards, as in "Oh bollards, thats going to be expensive to fix"
I must try harder.

Hi chaps,

Great pictures Ian, although I must say I prefer the first one!

It was indeed a Caterham, I was battling for the lead and it slowed excessively (there is far more to this obviously, including the 2 or 3 presiding laps, but here is not the place for my ranting!) at the hairpin leaving me no where to go, so I hit it on the wheel arch and was cleanly flung into the air, apparently I was about six foot up and went almost clean over the darn thing!

Once re-entry was made we both cared on racing (amazingly) until half my bonnet flew off in a rather impressive but never the less expensive fashion. This left the other half flapping making lefthanders some what blind!

So was black flagged due to the damage and that was that, not a happy chapy!!!!!

Only a beginner I'm afraid Andy..........lol

I understand I'll have to do some Northern Sports & Saloons to get my license up to spec? Looked into the Radical series first but I'm a speed freak so 450bhp has more of an apeal!

Any help with budgets would be great! email me direct if you like.

James, as I said, you are welcome to contact me - but the onus is on you. I'll help you, but only if you put in some effort yourself.

Have you been to any of the races or talked to anyone involved in the Championship?

You should pop into the local meet and speak to a few business type TVR owners there.
