Been looking for a project since Joseph was returned to rude health and have just done a deal with Chris Page Chingers for his S2

It will be a week or two before I can collect it but I'll keep everone posted with pics etc.

The big question is the viability of putting it back on the road, if its possible then thats the target. But the car has stood for a long time and the cost of the chassis repair plus all the replacement bits, eg brakes, might make it a no go. If it dosent go back on the road then it will be broken for spares as a last resort

Norman - good luck with this project it will be very satisfying to put it back on the road and be able to say I did that. If all else fails I would like to purchase the exhaust. Thanks Damon

Body lift on the 24th to assess chassis properly but it looks like the cost of putting back on the roadis likely to exceed the value of the finished car, as the the chassis will need to be repaired on a jig if the lower chassis rail is as bad as has been reported, new mainfolds and down pipes are needed and I would want to re-furb/re-commission complete braking system after 6 years of standing. In addition after a very quick look I think new carpets will be needed and the alloy elements of the engine will need attention.

Despite the fact I may well need some parts it would be a shame to see another one bite the dust but obviously depends how the sums work out, and of course it may save more than one other car from the scrap man!

If the chassis is essentially complete but frilly I'd be interested in it to have a bash at making an S chassis jig.
