Caribbean - End September/Early October?
Discussion
No, we're not squillionaires (I'm pushing the age where, culturally and economically, the Caribbean is " . . . not for the likes of us, my son . . ")!
But it looks affordable this year, last week September/first October is the only leave my wife and I can both have, and our toddler has a touch of eczema that I am sure sunshine and warm seas will help with.
BUT . . . "safe" time to go (spoiled holiday wise, not life and limb!) in terms of weather, tail end of hurricane season? Anything else I should consider?
Otherwise it'll be the Canaries - which are great, but this might be only opportunity to do the Caribbean for a long time . . .

Aruba would be my choice without a doubt....south of the hurricane zone and a great generally non Brit country! Stay in the low rise area otherwise you'll be in a major chain hotel surrounded by 100% Americans on their hols---have a look at Bucuti Beach Hotel. Madam Jeanette's restaurant, now there's a good one!
