I have to drive my beloved S2 in swimming trunks lately !
She is getting painted in the next couple of weeks,courtesy of a careless driver puting a scratch down the side of her.And the best bit is it's going on their insurance !
Anyway,she is leaking badly.
How much is a new roof and who does them ? Noticed on Ebay that there is a guy quoting £300.This seems very cheap,and if something sounds too good to be true it usually is.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The seal on the top rail has come adrift and is fouling the roof panels when I put the roof back up.The rear window has a small nick(about an inch or so)down in the bottom left corner,stuck a bit of sellotape over it.But looking at the interior of the rear folding panel it really is very worn and I thinks needs replacing.All the stitching is coming apart around the rear window.
Fitting the rear hod is a work of art and I doubt that an amature would get a good result and it would be again very difficult to do the roof panels well. I had a new hood fitted by TVR Car Parts and their price was very similar to D&C Trim Blackpool.
But i think your leak is more likely the seals etc, again TVR Car Parts replaced all mine and the car is completly leak free. But I shot my self in the foot by saying "and while its here could you..........." so the end price was a bit 'OUCH'.
Phone around, Broad at Nantwich is also good (did a neighbours V8) similar prices though. I would also recommend talking to Adrian Venn (Adrian@) Exactly TVR as he has soom excellent ideas about improving the hood fit etc.

shop around ! i had my roof done for £550 all in fitted , no seals were replaced for this price
make sure you your happy with the company doing the work as i had some aggro with
the chap doing mine but i'm happy now with the job , you sometimes get what you pay for
be careful with buying a kit you need to check on the quality of the hood fabric being used there are 2 or 3 grades i think , i went for mohair !
and the skills to fit it which is something you may have not done before

p.s. check your windscreen insurance policy you may be able to claim for this which will help on the overall costs somewhere around £225 to £250 for a new sreen + the additional £300 + for the panels to be recovered
