I'm possibly off on the tissington trail on Monday as to Tomorrow well that depends on the weather, but seeing as a shiney new seatpost and saddle have been purchased and fitted today I really should get out and test it.

Doncaster to Fridaythorpe tomorrow. All told it'll be about 120 miles or so. Some decent climbs but it's mostly rolling once we get into the Wolds.

I'm going to mosey over to Ditchling Beacon and onto Brighton where I'llmeet my wife & daughter for breakfast before heading back again. It's a leisurely 35 miles (apart from that bd hill).

Probably bugger all for me frown It doesn't seem to have stopped raining here for a couple of days now. All the offroad circuits I normally use are like swamps at the moment. After taking advantage of yesterday's bad weather to strip down the drivetrain and make it all shiny I'm in no rush to get it all clagged up again!

Having said that, I've got my commuting tyres on the bike still at the moment so might go for a few miles on the roads tomorrow morning if it's not raining. It's not quite the same as a blast through the woods though...

Was racing today. Tomorrow I'm taking my 8 year old out on a 30 mile "training" loop. Hoping I don't get dropped. wink

hehe No. He has one of these

Nah didn't win. 8th. Good race despite the absolute drenching we got, and my "speedway" moment with 500m to go which st those up behind me more than it st me up!

He's 8!! It's the first time I've taken him on the road. Suspect I'll be pushing him a bit.

Turns out cattle grids, 30mph, pissing rain, and too much power is a problem. I'd saved it before I really realised it had gone. Didn't do me any favours for the finish.

I've got my GT back after a couple of years in my cousins hands so went for a run out on the Rea River trail starting off in Moseley, through Cannon Hill park and down to Kings Norton. Really nice ride, got chatting to a guy who was cycling to Oxford!
