Hotel in San Fransisco - Pacific heights 1 week in Oct

Got the hotel sorted in LA for the week after but has anyone a personal recommendation on a hotel in the Pacific Heights area.

Getting the same old same old on trip adviser, so thought someone may have one from left field so to speak.

Just east of Pacific Heights, but only one block from the cable cars (north/south and east/west). Decent sized suites and friendly staff.
