Having phoned a few places today I've had quotes for between 80 and 180 plus vat for a full geo check and setup.

What's would people generally consider the norm? I would have thought for somewhere around 200 mark I should be looking for them to also raise the steering rack as it just seems a bit steep??

Just been quoted £120 plus VAT for corner weighting and the same for laser alignment, although both are a lot cheaper if you have them done whilst having new shocks fitted.

Where are you? I use Neil Garner at Kemble, ex-F1 and current BritCar guy. There's not much he doesn't know. Click

Around £100 + VAT is the going rate IME. I can recommend wheels in motion in chesham for Geo, Tony is VERY good at what he does.

If its a TVR consider taking it to Brian at Topcats near Bicester , cant recall how much they charge but you will get the perfect setup including corner weighting.

Not too far from manchester is Trackvroad at clitheroe. Did a great job setting up my chim after a full bodyoff resto. That was 18 months ago, and the cost i think, was about £100.

Hmm, I'm down at Austec tomorrow and they had quoted 175 plus vat which sounded very high. Unfortunately time isn't on my side as I'm doing the Vmax event in a week or so!

The car was setup about 2k ago by Hexham and drove really well but it's feeling a bit more twitchy than I'd like it to. It still tracks straight so maybe it's not the geo that's changed.

X Works do a full alignment as part of their service (12k I suspect) so could be worth giving them a ring as they are generally quite sensible price wise (and also handy for the M55 as well.

I'd check the simple things like tyre pressures before forking out x squids.

Neil did my MX-5 a few years ago. The difference was night and day.
