Sorry for the poor quality of the photo but it was taken in 1913.
The hero in the picture is my dear late grandad Harry and the classic car is ?????????
Let's have your guesses and see which of you are the real anoraks.

It isn't classic, it's Edwardian.

Does that get me an anorak wink

I'll guess at Studerbaker as there used to be one driven by a guy in a village not too far from me

and I say it is a classic - so that makes it a classic, to me, at this moment biggrin

Thought it may have been a Packard initially but I guess De Dion Bouton from around 1911?

Vauxhall Prince something?

Because it's the only car I can name of that age as it's obviously not a RR Ghost.

I would say Napier. If so, a very, very expensive car. The chassis alone was more expensive then a complete Silver Ghost chassis plus body.

In all fairness, it could be anything
there were no production cars in those days, lots of bespoke bodies

Standard?

ETA - drop the question mark. I'm pretty sure it's a Standard smile
