Where to store homebrew?
Discussion
Evening,
I have some homebrew that I bottled last week, it says to store in a warm place, which I have done as it's fairly easy this time of year.
Tomorrow I need to store it for a further week in a cool place. Trouble is I can't really find a cool place, the last batch I did was in the winter so it wasn't a problem.
I'm thinking the fridge, would this be OK or would it wreck the brew?
Thanks

Good practice to do it but you won't wreck your brew by not storing in a cool place- not in the short term anyway- it will just take longer to clear and might produce a bit more chill haze when refrigerated. These are aesthetic issues and shouldn't affect the flavour. If you are planning on storing for quite a long time it will last better in a cool dark environment (away from uv).
I just left my keg sat next to the sofa, without a cellar it’s difficult to control temperatures. I don’t think it will have any adverse affects to your brew that would affect the flavour. I now have my third bedroom as my brew room so it will live in there and I never worry about temperatures.
