Canyon Nerve XC 5.0

Has anyone ridden a Canyon Nerve XC 5.0, been reading reviews and I'm really struggling to stop myself ordering one today (Early 30th birthday present).

The spec for £1139 is crazy, was looking at a road bike but upgrading to full sus is a scratch that needs itching

not ridden one myself but they are great value for money and have many happy customers. 27lbs isnt bad either!

Judging by the reviews, you cant go wrong. Just get rid of those tyres, they are awful.

I own the XC 7. A great bike which has coped with lots of UK riding including Mountain Mayhem and SITS, and just spent a week in Morzine. Can't comment on the components as they are different on the XC5, but I am sure you will love it. Just make sure you pick the right frame size.

Did you use the Canyon PPS?, it has suggested I need a Small which sounds about right.

Yes I was on the border if small and medium but went for small. I am 5'8"" and have the seat pretty high but it feels absolutely spot on. If you are any taller I would consider the medium

I have a nerve XC 9 and am extremely pleased with it. Obviously it was a bit of a gamble not being able to test ride it but it has turned out well as it rides much nicer than some of the bikes I was able to test. The sizing tool worked out fine for me too.

At the end of the day if you were by some chance disappointed or it didn't fit you have the option to send it back.

Clean bike/dirty tyres - then after a 35 MPH road downhill, after all the mud had 'flung' off...!

I looked around before buying mine, I just couldn't ignore the value for money aspect.

I fancy the Grand Canyon 7 AF....however, there is a massive waiting list it seems. Incredibly good value, and are getting great reviews. I too am finding it hard not to order one, especially as I want a road bike and also a hybrid for the winter.
