Steering Wheel Re-design

I’m thinking about having my standard all black Tuscan 3 steering wheel redesigned so the colour matches the interior, i.e. change the leather surround with a matching colour and have the black spokes changed to a brushed alloy to match the centre dash switches etc. Does anyone know where I could get this done, preferably somewhere in Cambridgeshire?

Not sure this is a good idea. My steering wheel is the same colour as the interior (parchment) and I don't think it looks good - the stitching in particular gets a bit grubby. I would leave your money in your pocket.

If you do decide to get this done, I know someone out near Quy (Burwell IIRC) who could probably do the leather part, not sure if he'd be able to do the whole lot tho'.

Hi Cliff

AR Pound at Baldock did the re trim on my seats and did a good job so could be worth trying.
Why dont you post a pic of your current set up and see if someone can do a photo shop on it for you.

I changed the steering wheel on my Tuscan to a Momo wheel to get the alloy spokes and had it recoverd by DC Trim at Blackpool to match the interior.

David, that's an interesting option, do you mind me asking how much DC Trim charged you for that?

Here's how mine looks at the moment, biscuit and magnolia leather with prussian blue stitching to match the prussian blue carpet. I was thinking of having the wheel done in biscuit with prussian blue stitching, and of course having the spokes done to match the brushed alloy.

If anyone is handy with the old photoshop, as Kev suggested, I'd be very grateful.

This was an option on original order. Lighter colours do get grubby quite quickly..

The recovering done by DC Trim from memory was 144 GBP.

Personally I think the standard wheel does need a few more curves and the MOMO example above does look somewhat better in matching colours. Maybe keep the wheel, stick with black leather and just change the spokes to be a brushed finish?

Judging by those photoshops I'd stick with the black leather but get the spokes polished up. The biscuit does nothing for it on either pic IMHO.
