Back from the Nurburgring - almost in 1 piece...

I had a terrific time at the Nurburgring Oldtimer GP at the weekend; great racing, a huge number of TVRs from all over Europe and the S didn't miss a beat. The only downer was the very wet weather while at the circuit. Oh, and some stupid woman driving into the back of me while waiting to go through the Dartford tolls on the way to the Channel tunnel

Fortunately she was going very slowly so there was minimal bodywork damage (although there are still some large cracks) and a bent exhaust but fortunately we could carry on and enjoy the rest of the weekend.







Thanks to Han for lending me his rear light so I could complete 2 laps of the Nordschleife

Glad you had a good trip Longers. The Oldtimer GP is one of the many events on my 'to do' list.

Done the 'ring' before (though not in the wet thankfully) but not in the S.

Sorry you received some unwelcome attention from the opposite sex (rare I know), looks nasty.

It seems we need to avoid woman in cars at the moment, that's the second S damaged by woman drivers in the last couple of weeks.

Luckily it was dry for the 2 exclusive laps I arranged for the TVRCC (but it did mean an early start on Saturday morning) so no local heroes cutting us up! It started to drizzle just as we got back to the car park though. Phew!!!!

Never good to get shunted, last time it happened to me (by young lady more interested in wedding dresses in shop window than my brake lights!!) I was driving car to bodyshop to get front end damage repaired after car had been reversed into by another driver of the fairer sex - hardly believable but absolutely true!!

Funnily enough I was over for the Old Timer as well.

It was nice to see so many TVR's, especially a few old 3000Ms.

I had no problems with mine at all, I'm so chuffed with her as it's a long old drive.

Longers, unlucky on the skirmish. I would have put money on it happening abroad, those Belgiums are scary drivers.
