Insurance again
Discussion
Well it is time to insure my cars again and as predicted it has gone up by about £300 with admiral on there multi-car scheme taking my insurance to £1964, so before I take the plunge is there anyone else that I should try who might be cheaper? I dont need trackday cover for the nob just social and pleasure with business use on the mercedes. I have been on the compare websites but they are all dearer than admiral, oh and iam 27 with a clean licence and 7 years no claims.
Ring them up. Tell them you have been quoted pretty much the Same as you had last year with a company they cannot check. Tell them ageas have quoted you. But as they have been good to you in e past you would prefer to stick with them. But not for the increase they have given you.
And watch them reduce your premium back down. I do this every year with admiral. And have never payed anymore than the previous year.
Give it a go what you got to loose :-)

I've done my 2 with Admiral for the first time this year. Does this imply I can expect a heafty increase when it comes to renewal ?
Probably but to be honest the quotes I have been getting on go compare for the noble were rediculous I think £3000 just for the noble was my best quote, you would think I lived in basra, insurance just seems to be going up and up at the moment.I've used MSM for the Noble (and previously for my TVR T350) and they were the most competitive by some margin for a 7,500 miles per year policy with comprehensive breakdown cover. www.msminsurance.co.uk - don't worry about the old fashioned website, they are excellent on the phone and the policy conditions / benefits / excess are spot on! There has been excellent feedback on them from the TVR PH community.
Mannings were extremely good, especially if you also need track day cover and European break down cover as part of your overall insurance needs. www.manninguk.com/automotive/index.php
Most of the other 'specialist' car insurers were non-competitive being at least several hundred pounds more expensive than the 2 above.
Hope this helps.

I had my renewal through from Admiral MC, £1700 for 3 cars... wasn't happy with it so re-entered all the same details on their website as a new customer and it came back as £1050!!
I phoned them up to ask them why the difference, they just took the online quote ref and changed the renewal to match it.

Well tried re-inputting my details on admiral and it wont let me go any further, so it would seem they have found a way around stopping people from doing this. I also phoned msm insurance but they wont insure me at 28 and manning didnt pick up the phone? Oh and dave YHM
If all else fails I will try and see if admiral will match last year quote as previously suggested.
