Leaf cutter bees by the look of it.

yay - leafcutter bees!

We have one of those 'insect houses' in the garden. The only thing that took up residence originaly was a spider - hmm - now, however, it has quite a few of these bees in it. they look highly comedy carrying the bit of leaf across the garden and if you get a chance to watch them plugging it in the end of a hole its a damn impressive bit of maneuvering.
