Carbon Wheel centers

as well as working on the front splitter i have had a issue with my plastic GT03 wheel centers cracking , this is a common fault so i decided to make a mold to do some in carbon , pretty pleased with end result although they are a massive pain in the arse to make !!!
the weight saving is massive .............10 gramms per wheel

They look good.

My plastic centres has some cracks also. I've taken the centre nuts back to aluminium with a deft use of a dremel and then sprayed them with clear lacquer.

Can I assume a price will be forthcoming ?

Went to see Simon this morning and saw these in the flesh. They are very nice. Whilst I was there I also stole his wing end plates off his car. Cheers si Will put a pic up tomorrow.

Hi Gadge , yeh i know sad i know but i love messing with Noble bits !!

no plans to do anything with clams yet but i would like to do front dive plains next !!

They do look good though.
but lets get to the end game, when are you going to offer us carbon fibre clams
I think they should be in 3 pieces so you can lift up the middle section while leaving the wheel arches in place, but also still have the option of lifting the entire clam as one piece, what do you think?

hi Tux - i would be interested in the dive planes

what may be a problem is that every clam is slightly different

have you got an idea of target cost ?

lots of the kits I have seen for sale have got flat surfaces

HI Chris , would love to do clams ect but i think thats a bit out my league !!!

Dive planes are canards that you fix against `the front clip to greate more down force !! will try and find a photo .

im sure you could lay carbon matting over the fibreglass, and then resin and lacquer. Not really the same, but i wonder how much weight it would add..
