Junk bike suggestions

My trusty 18 year old Specialized Hardrock suffered a small explosion in the freewheel last week and is on its last legs so now well overdue replacement. I already have a road bike for Sunday best but need something I don't mind leaving around town all day. Budget is up to £150, and obviously looking for something second hand. I only want a complete bike, no rebuilds - my old bike is too far gone for that, all bent and welded now. Must be able to go offroad a bit.

So far I've been looking at Carrera Subway / Gryphon hybrids but any other suggestions would be welcome as I don't know that market well at all.
