I'll be out there on Friday smile

My parents had a villa just up the road for 30+ years so I know it quite well wink

You have 3 localish courses. Either side of Lagos (15 minutes away) you have the long established Palmares, which is a nice links course (well, the front 9 at least) and the newer Boa Vista. Ive not played Boa Vista but it looks very nice. I've played Palmares lots.

Then on the 'other' side of Luz (going west) is the hilly, but somewhat addictive, Parque Da Floresta (its on the road to Sagres/N125, 15 minutes out of Burgau). Played that a fair bit, you should consider investing in a buggy for there!

There are other courses not a million miles away (next nearest being the championship course at Penina).

Where you staying in Luz?

If you see a sunburnt fat bloke with lots of kids/family in tow in one of the bars, that'll probably be me biggrin

I've played Palmares and Boa Vista a few times each - both are decent courses.

My neighbours have a villa in Luz they rent out, and we've just booked to go there next summer so I've no doubt we'll be back at Boa Vista for a few rounds before heading for karaoke at the Luz Tavern, and a few rounds.

Paul and June, ex Duke of Holland have a new bar on the main street, Bar Barrocca (ex Plough and Harrow). If their previous tenure is anything to go by, Barrocca will be a fun place for a drink smile
