I have been recommended KCNC cassettes as a light alternative to a Campag cassette , they use some pretty exotic metals , are they any good and does anyone have first hand experience of them? (11--23 ratio on a road bike).

I've got a lot of KCNC kit (bars, stems, jockey wheels, QRs) - although not the cassette. The quality is absolutely superb and sadly the community is waking up to this as their prices have rocketed over the last couple of years.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy their cassettes based on my experience with them. Their customer support is also really very good.

I'm assuming you're talking about their Scandium, etc. cassette? Scandium is a very very hard alloy so is a good choice for cogs.
