I was at my Chartered Physio on Wednesday, and she was going through some stretches with me.
"How long do you hold each stretch for?" she asked,
I said that I would get into position, and try it fairly gently for about 10sec, then a good stretch held for 20 sec.
She told me that research has shown that to improve flexibility, assuming that your NOT hurting anything, that you need to hold it for 30sec for the best effect.
No, I can't get into anywhere near an aero position, I'm far too bulky (fat) and she says that's the real problem, nothing to do with me being 64.
