We see lots of posts about this and that failing, so how about the opposite?

What mechanically on yours has stood the test of time?

We've had the Chimaera 10 and a half years now, had 30k miles when we got her, now showing just over 90k (just about run in)so covered 60 odd thousand miles, and it's still on the original Cam and Clutch. I've got all the receipts from new pretty much and there is nothing there to suggest either were changed before we got it either.

They are not the only original bits, but the significant ones I think.

I bought BCA's 97 4.5 Cerb at 94k, she's now at 96.5k.

No rebuild to the engine or gearbox yet!! (touch wood, rabbits foot, salt over shoulder etc!)

Hi Steve wavey

I deliberately didn't mention the Cerbera in my post. It's still in the dog house biggrin

I use mine all the time, watching the chavs dissappear into the distance once they've been overtaken
