Went to garage yesterday to have the alternator looked at and it's off for an engine rebuild.

13 Months old and 7000 miles and the engine has to go to Blackpool for a rebuild!

No car for 3-6 weeks, even worse the loan car is a Vauxhall Corsa, no one looks at me and smiles when I drive it, no pops and bangs, no acceleration and no sideways moments it's hell and it's only been one day.

Sympathy wanted.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.

Can you get along to a few meets to get your TVR 'fix' whilst the car is in the shop?

Best Regards

Martyn.

Will always continue to go to meets, but how am I gonna keep up in a 1.2 Corsa?
It gets better was supposed to be using the car to tour europe in a couple of weeks, doing a similar route to Eurohoon. I don't think thats gonna happen now.

You could go as a passenger in one of the cars at the next meet maybe? Could you squeeze a tiv out of the dealer / factory for your Europe trip?

Best Regards

I'd demand a TVR courtesy car if I was you!

I agree.

After 7k and 13 months I would absolutely insist on a TVR courtesy car.

They are swapping the car over next Friday, I'll let you know what I get.
Going on hols in any other car will not be the same, when it comes back still got the issue of running in.
This is my own personal hell at the moment.
Thanks for the sympathy, starting to feel a little better and will push for a decent courtesy car if this drags on. How else would I keep up with you lot?

So much for the 2003 engine being sorted!!! I cant believe after all this time they stil cant get it right!

It's not rocket science! After all the internal combustion engine has been with us for christ knows how many years. The majority of the mechanics remaining the same!

You should defo demand a replacement TVR too.

The running in is definately going to be
a pain, by the time it is run in we will only
have about another 3000 mile before the next
rebuild is due!!!
