Florida SIM and dongle
Discussion
Off to Florida in a week, and I've (sadly) got to take my laptop and phone with me for work purposes.
The house we have rented might not have wifi and I know that O2 charge a fortune for data abroad, so I'm wondering what the best/cheapest options are for a PAYG sim with decent data and a prepaid dongle. Or is it best just to disable data on the phone for the duration and get a dongle?
Answers on a postcard please ....

I looked into this as I'm off to New York next year for a week and I want to be able to use data on my iPhone.
There is quite a few AT&T Sims available on ebay for a reasonable price, I'm going to pick one of them up and activate it when I'm there. I don't know much about dongles but I should imagine they have replaceable sims in so you could do the same.

The rental co haven't responded to us yet and its not mentioned on the details: but its no s
t-hole. 4 bed with ensuite, pool, spa, etc... Fingers crossed it will be OK for the laptop.
I'm with O2 and the last time I took a smart phone abroad (N900), it used up the 50MB allowance in about a day, but SWMBOs iPhone 4 didn't seem to use much at all. I've since upgraded to an SG2 and I'm using between 80 - 200MB a month, although to be fair its on wifi at home most of the time. At £6 (!)/MB it could get very expensive, very quickly. Best to turn data off methinks until I find a wifi hotspot.
