I've had enough of scrabbling about trying to find the seatbelt and the Cerbera extender would seem to fit the bill, so the belt is to hand every time. Anyone tried one as i've certainly not seen any used on a Griff?
Not sure what they are off but i'm sure i've seen them on Peugeots in the past. Would need to be able to slide the seatbelt webbing into the device and the otyher end just bolts on behond te seat.

Someone was making a SS one a while ago, not sure if they still are and so,e went on to Griffiths, sorry I can't remember who.

Is the Cerbera one mounted vertically or horizontally, as this could be the issue in the Griffith unless the head swivels/pivots ?

I made these from scrap stainless and they work fine, and have the advantage that they don't alter the seatbelt itself.

Mark,
Horizontally from memory. It does look like it would work as it would bolt onto the mount behind the top of the seat and protrude forward to the side of the head rest.

I like Hedgehoppers tidy idea. Neater than my bespoke (DIY). Hope to see the Cerebra fitting on Sunday at Duxford, Imperial Air War Museum. On the last count, 80 TVR icons will be turning up. One 1,600bhp RR Merlin Spitfire = 5/6 300bhp TVRs!

hehe I love it. Improvisation at it's best.

Didn't Clive Ford make one at some point.

That would seem ideal if it does. There is some nice work on here for the solution which is less of an issue on my seats it seems, however i'm a wuss and don't like have sticky outy bits of metal around the cadin, whereas the Cerb ones are plastic and probably safety stamped.

I'm sure it'd be fine, it's my choice before i get flamed. But anything that inmterupts/touches/interferes or potentially affects the ability of the seat belts to do what their designed for is an area of real consideration.

PS - do you still want to buy my early stage split roof still?

Can't get the headrest off so might be a problem. They also look like they've been made by a 5 year old and are a lot of dosh.

I did a few pairs of these for people a few years ago, but then stopped doing them, the insurance implications should anyone have had an accident and the seat belt arrangement being tampered with, non standard, basically frightened the life out of me, something that looks nice and simple, and firmly mounted could possibly be very different in a serious accident.

No mods needed and no safety or insurance worry?

Clive. I appreciate your comment. I shall check it out with my Insurer. Some years back I remember some cars had a plastic hook on a bolted swivel toggle for hanging the belt on.
My Griff is standard, but I must admire your "tweaked gorgeous AJPV8 4.2L pops and bangs Griff" I shall take the risk anyway. It will save me getting a tweaked neck and dislocated infraspinatus shoulder, and potentially save the NHS a lora cash. etc.
B.. Health and Safety are a pain sometimes. They are not capable of driving a Griff, and for safety, they should never be allowed to do so ! After thought, any H & S Griff TVR owners out there for nice comments?

I bought a set of the seatbelt guides/extenders off ebay but found they were damaging the edges of the belt, so when I fitted new seatbelts I decided to wrap the hoop of the guide in self adhesive vinyl. Seems to work fine
