An easy one to start, Year, location, both drivers and cars and the significant event.
Photo 2.
Year, location, driver with his hand in the air.
Photo 3.
I want the Year, location and all the drivers/cars in the picture.

Probably best if you edit your answers if you change your minds.
I'll give the answers later this afternoon.

1.Year - 1961. Place - Reims. Driver - Giancarlo Baghetti. Significance - first F1 GP race and first (and only) F1 GP win.
2. Year - 1962. Place - Aintree, British GP. Driver - Innes Ireland.
3. Year - 1966. Place - Silverstone. Drivers - Jack Brabham, Denny Hulme, Jim Clark, Pedro Rodriguez and one unidentified.
4. Year - 1961. Place - Reims (again) Drivers - Innes Ireland and Jim Clark. Cars - they look like the Lotus 18/21 hybrids with their side panels taken off to keep the drivers cool. No side impact tests in those days!

Great pics, but any chance of a late 70's onwards quiz, some of us weren't born when those pics were taken
Neither was I but I know the era well
I'll dig out some 70's colour for you for the next one
What a gent you are, I'm off on my hols for 2 weeks but I'll have a go when I get back
Photo 3 - Just had a brainwave, it looks American but one of the sign's spells "favourite" the British way rather than the American way. It could be Australia but there was no F1 Australian GP in those days - only the Tasman Series. Therefore I plump for the 1967 South African GP at Kyalami (the clue is that Clark is driving the BRM H16 pwered Lotus). That would make car No.17 John Love.
Just in time Eric

Giancarlo Baghetti (Ferrari 156) winning the 1961 French GP at Reims from Dan Gurney (Porsche 718). This was Baghetti's first Grand Prix and he won on his debut. He had previously won 2 non-Championship F1 races at Posillipo and Syracuse, when he spun out of the following British Grand it ended an amazing unbeaten run.

1962 British GP at Aintree - Innes Ireland pictured with his hand in the air.

1967 South African GP at Kyalami. Drivers. Jack Brabham & Denny Hulme on the front row (Brabham-Repco BT20's), Jim Clark (Lotus 43-BRM) and Pedro Rodriguez (Cooper T81-Maserati) on the 2nd row and just pictured car number 17 of local hero John Love who with his aging Cooper T79-Climax (ex-Bruce McLaren car used in the 1965 Tasman series using a 2.8-litre four-cylinder Climax engine). Love actually led the race and would have won had his car not start to run out of petrol and force him to refuel in the pits, he returned and managed to finish 2nd behind Rodriquez.

1961 French GP at Reims. Drivers Jim Clark & Innes Ireland (Lotus 21-Climax)
I'll sort out a 1970's one for tommorow
