Have you guys ever added up how much you spend on fuel each year? At the moment I only potter around (alright, cane) a 2 litre alfa gtv over little trips here and there. My 30 notes per week adds up to over £1500 annually. You tivver boys must spend a fortune!

Mines not me main motor but a tank gets me 180 odd motorway miles but having fun around the country 70 odd.
13 gallon tank by the way. Don't tend to think about it, just pour it in when needle gets near the red. Got the festa for economy.

Well, here we go:
20,000 kms = 2000 liters (ie 28.5 mpg )
1 liter of 95 unleaded = £0.65
So: 2000*0.65= £1300
Not bad at all for that:

Last year between the wife and I;

28,000 miles in a company Freelander say £3,500
6,000 in a discovery, say £900
and
5,500 in the tvr, say £1000.

Plus petrol put into boats etc, which is probably another £1,000 and lots of avgas too

I make that at least £6,400. Do I win?

Freelander went back this year following redundancy, so mileage will be coming down...

Don't forget that for every £100 you spend on 'fuel', you're only spending about £20. The other £80 goes straight to Gordy to pay for fig trees, incompetence, bus subsidies and nice villages with free sports centres for our imported residents.

Mind you, in Norway basic rate tax starts at 58%. Explains the high suicide rate...

I've always paid cash for fuel, that way there's no monthly reminder of the cost

Answer is - I've no idea

I'm paying £1900 a year for the insurance on my three cars, so I'd rather not know about the cost of the fuel.
