Following on from Lazyitus's 'name this circuit' thread I've had a seach though my collection of photo's, some would be very hard, some I guess very easy.

But as a starter and as a bit of fun here's one.

Name the circuit?

If you look really closely you should be able to make out the name of the circuit written on the clock hanging from the timekeepers tower

What it was like in 1996 with the later pits stalls but still the original timekeepers tower.

What it's like now, all gone.

Pits gone

Grandstand gone

thats a mighty sad looking place now Why did they close it?

Incidently I don't know my old circuits, I thought that looked a bit like Oulton Park in reverse

These places aren't "circuits" in the modern sense so they weren't "closed" as such. They just stopped using them and the "circuit" facilities were allowed decay. Demolition will be the ultimate fate of them all.

Reims is next.
