So what does "taxiable condition" mean? (Planes)

The faster you go the more likely they are to get airborne. The Victor isn't the only aircraft that's done such a thing, it's just that it was a bit higher than a couple of inches, and in front of a massive crowd..
With a bit of luck our Shackleton should be taxiing again by the end of the year, which I'm looking forward to. The idea is to offer rides similar to how East Kirkby do with their Lancaster.

Are you planning fast or slow taxis? I have to say as good as it was to see a Lanc running at East Kirkby, as it went so slow it was a bit of a disappointment. The engine run ups facing the crowd afterwards were better for watching. With a bit of luck our Shackleton should be taxiing again by the end of the year, which I'm looking forward to. Yes, it just means that they are in running order and can move about under their own power, but are not certified for flight.
Unless you're 'fast taxying' a non-airworthy Victor at Brunters and, err, accidentally get airborne.
That one makes me laugh every time i see it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3HaeYVlBw8
Don't worry, when she's ready we'll be telling everybody!
We've got a double mainwheel change to do to make sure the brakes and tyres are at their best, the pneumatics have been overhauled, and the last new bits we needed for the No 2 prop have been found - so things are going to plan so far.
