TVR S3 !!!!!

hi all

after losing my job last year and having to sell my weekend car to set up my own
bussiness i never thought i'd own a tvr again ?

but after 4 months of not having something to play with and getting bored at weekends i was very lucky to come across
my tvr s3 , funds were low and i needed a car that would tick all the boxes for me , and not cost loads of money to run

here's some pic's of my p&j now after a year of ownership with some mods done
and hard work to get my car looking great "i think"

the car had a full body respray approx 2 to 3 years ago so not much work required there its perfect
the leather interior required a very good clean and tlc

i wanted to improve the handling of my s so i went for the gaz gold pros and that made a big difference
the next job when money was available i wanted to get a deeper sound from the exhaust "V8" so this was done
with a custom made s/s system , still not a V8 but its music to my ears lol

the original hood that came with the car i thought was in very good condition untill 4 months ago
whilst washing the car my hand went through the rear screen "the stiching had gone"
so complete new hood fitted , the car is i think near to perfect now with all these jobs done
and i'm very proud to be back and part of S ownership

thanks to all you guys on here for your help and advice with my car

please feel free to add pics of your p&j

cheers keith

Wow. Pics are absolutely stunning. I am always drawn to dark blue cars, and this looks superb, great work! I hope to get mine back up to this standard one day smile

Really Nice looking motor - inspires me to keeping going on the improvement programme for mine. Have done so much - stainless tank, new brakes, tyres, leads, bonnet hinges, new indicators!!, new light rims, refurbed alloys, new screen etc etc. Had thoughts of giving up and trading up to something like a chim - but people keep saying whilst its great, its not as raw and satisfying as an S

Looks superb, all your efforts have certainly been worth it.

Can you tell me what your 'spots' are? Are they the Ring replacements people have been using? Mine are okay at the moment, if a little chipped, but yours visually look excellent.

Thanks, Stu

I've got my car to as near as perfection as you can ! And have been very happy with the S

But i've always wanted a V8 so i have to give it a try and move onto a chimaera

Upgrading or downgrading, Keith. That's the question to answer hehe

Anyway, hope you have a great xmas/new year and hope to see you back in a TVR soon!

Absolutely. I went V8s and the performance is stunning. Retains the classic S look and much more rarity value than a Chim. The Chim is beautiful car but....
