Clutch Pedal Does Not Depress

I am in the process of restoring a 1985 Mini Mayfair, which has been going smoothly for a while now! However i can no longer engauge any gear. The clutch pedal will not budge. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

Try disconnecting the slave cylinder from clutch arm (can easily unbolt slave from bell housing on mini as I remember). Then try depressing clutch (just a little bit to avoid pumping piston completely out of slave). If still stuck must be a problem in hydraulic system (master/slave seized or total blockage in line), if no resistance the problem is inside the bell housing. First should be easy to fix, second not so easy.
I had a similar problem with my Marina clutch, started off by the rubber pipe bursting (copper from master, 6" rubber piece to slave), this made the clutch die.
The next problem was that the thrust bearing had either bust, or hadn't been put on right and the operating lever was hitting the rear of the bell housing gap. Took the engine out (can't get g'box out of the Marlin without taking the engine out), re-aligned the thrust bearing, replaced the pipe and it worked fine.
I'm not a mechanic so can only offer what has happened to me so far

Several things to go wrong here. The slave cylinder can become seized if it has been left standing for a long time.
The rubber pipe between the slave cylinder and the fitting on the bulkhead can collapse internaly and prevent fluid going back to the master cylinder, so the slave is fully out against the stop all the time.
The pivot on the cluctch operating arm can seize.
