Oh my god I just went to the shops and a corsa big bore exhaust stopped at the traffic lights 3 chavs inside wearing hoodies and baseball caps - it's over 20 degrees...

Anyway music pounding and the tune was Swagger Jagger...

Tune sounded identical to

Im a wan&er
I'm a wan&er
I'm a wan&er yes I am
But I'd rather be a wan&er than afu&kibg english man.

A song I've sang in pure rugby jest during any six nation game and nothing ore than fun like wise we get a similar retort.

I googled this track and it's Cheryl Lloyds new Hit .... Maybe I'm not hip with the Justin begbie music but I grew up with acid house rage against the machine sepultura and have a big fondness of heavy metal and rock music.

This however is utter garbage - but those chavs seed to like it? What am I missing? Talk to me.

It's a deeply, DEEPLY irritating tune. The fact she's an X-Factor spaz makes it all the worse.

Comic relief though, urban dictionary defines "Swagger Jagger" as:

A st, pointless song with stupid lyrics made by Cher Lloyd
Me: You heard that song Swagger Jagger?
You: Yeah, it's fking st.

But also...

Swagger Jagger
A word used to describe the act of a prostitute receiving triple penetration during group sex. Common phrase used in Gypsy/Traveler culture.

I bet they didn't research that before they manufactured this latest abomination of the UK music scene...

I'm gonna be completely honest here.

I quite like it, I downloaded it the other day and have listened to it quite a few times.

Saying that I still listen to the Real McCoy - Another Night so that may explain alot.

Cheesy music FTW.

Oddly, they don't play it much on LBC, Classic FM or the A State of Trance weekly podcasts, so it can continue to be as irritating as it likes. wink

I've also yet to hear John Humphreys drop it on the Today programme.

If you want a giggle then Tim Westwood interviewed her and asked her what "swagger jagger" meant. Not only could she not explain it very well, he also completely missed any point she was trying to make. It was cringeworthly, and yet hilarious radio. No doubt its on youtube somewhere.

Found it.....

Serious question, apologies if it sounds like a piss-take: how old are you?

Poppy, edgy with a dance twist. It may not be to everyone's taste but it suits her I think.

Far better than the effort they've made so far with Diana Vickers. Great potential there for acoustic type songs which would feature her distinctive voice instead of the pop st she has now released.

Some examples:

With or Without You

Hallelujah

A truly awful piece of "music", I can't turn the radio off quick enough when it comes on.

Also Urban Dictionary informs me that the phrase is a misunderstanding of "swagger jacker", which would make the lyrics make a bit more sense.

Honest question here
If given two options
One you had to have this track on repeat in your car for a month on 50% volume ...
Or two you drive a sierra 2.3D for a month - no radio so you can enjoy the sound of the power plant.

Or anyone know any cars which would be worse than a sierra no music for a month. Old cars only here really dire cars.

I made the mistake of listening to Scott Mills on Radio 1 recently (which is itself like eavesdropping on Heat-magazine-reading call centre employees on a fag break). On it, the young lady responsible for for this musical haemorrhoid was interviewed.

I couldn't work out if it was a well-meaning charity based piece on rural, learning-disabled West country abuse victims or a new (but st) comedy act. I still can't.
