whats the best place to sell camera stuff

Have you tried some of the photography forums such as www.talkphotography.co.uk You'll need to register and I think have a number of posting but I've bought and sold on there no probs as you're dealing (usually) with like minded people

Talk Photography has a very active classifieds but as has been said I think you need a post count of 100. Avforums also has a decent classifieds section.

I have used both Av forums and TP with no problems at all

I wouldn't rule out eBay.

I recently sold a 21/2 year old 50D body for £550, 3 year old 10-20 Sigma for £280 and a 3 year old Sigma 28-70 for £105.

All plus delivery and whilst I will pay fees, selling prices are significantly higher than I could have expected.

TP has reduced the amount of posts now to 25 and 60 days membership.

This has been my experience too. Global marketplace where everybody looks - and unless you're trying to buy a copy/paste image of a D3 for £99, photography seems generally free of scammers and dodgy types.
