Off the back of the last thread, Thursday of last week, AMD in oxfordshire did a full geometry set up and very successful rechip of my car. Probably the best £500 I have spent on the car as the difference in both areas is sooo noticeable.

Only 6 days to go until I have whole new Hayward and Scott exhaust system fitted.

(My old system from the manifolds down will be for sale if anyone interested)

Fianlly, Domster, spent the weekend with a guy who has a beautiful 964RS. All I can say is you will love every moment!!

Hi PAC

Scottster has his 993 booked in with Geoff at AmD later in the month, so good to hear your stuff went well. Dad chipped his Audi there yonks ago, got another 10bhp and some torque on a 2 litre normally aspirated engine.

Yeah, the 964RS should be fun - everything I read about them tells me so. I just need to be a bit careful as it seems a lot more vicious than my Lotus Carlton (even with 377bhp I think it's a bit of a big old softy). Scottster's old 964 C2 on bilsteins went to car heaven the other day, as he posted on another thread. Spun into car heaven, I should say.

Hi domster,

I gained 15bhp confirmed by the before/after rolling road printouts. Its not noticeable until about 5000 rpm then you can definetly feel a difference.

I will be interested to see what difference the exhaust makes. I'm told its about an extra 15 - 18 bhp.

Next on the list is a supercharger/brake/suspension upgrade from 930 motorsport.....and there goes another £8K - £10K!!!

Hi Paul,

Yer, booked the 993 in this morning (luckily there was a cancelation near the end of May else you have to wait till the end of June now)

I've already done the exhaust, K&N filter and sports air box (which Domster and I found very laughable - same bloody thing as original but a few more holes drilled in the side and a shinier inlet...oh, and of course £86 less in my pocket) so hoping to get an all round better feeling from it.

I'll get my suspension done and then book it back in for the geometry.

What model have you got?

Hi Scottster,

I've got a G50 model 3.2 Carrera coupe, which I will never sell, so don't mind throwing money at it.

I've added a evo powerflow air filter, which similar to yourself was about a £100. Sounds slightly deeper at higher revs, but no noticeable difference in performance.

The difference the geometry makes is astounding. It handles better and feels a lot more sure footed at 100 + mph.

I'm gonna rolling road the car again to see what difference the exhaust makes.

I was going to get a 964RS or 3.6 turbo later on in year, but as my car is so clean I havn't got the heart to sell it. So the only way for me to usefully get more speed is replace original engine with a 993 unit, or 930 unit or keep original and bolt on a supercharger. I've decided on the supercharger option as keeps the car more original and can take it with me should I have a moment of weakness!!

Hi PAC

Can you please let me know what the Hayward and Scott exhaust is like when you get it as I am thinking of one for my 996TT.

Many thanks

Lee.
