Thanks for the info the three muskateers have now booked a trip leaving Plymouth 8th sept to Santander doing Portugal and a bit of touring around then back to santander 20th lots o bikin an beerin it up, with of course the obligatory Museum an art gallery in between. 319.00 for ferry all in with onsuit shoe box..... eeerrrm a mean spaciuos on sweet cabin

watch out for the portugese drivers, bloody useless doesn't describe it.
They dont really understand staying on the right side of the road around blind bends.
its instant the second you cross the border. consider staying spain side!! there some good roads on the northern coast anyway.

Done it twice, not sure of costs but don't do what we did DRINK/ big mistake we had to rest for the day when we arrived as the guy who booked us on said it was 24hrs and we ended up going on a Kat taking half the time/ don't do burn outs or wheelies coming out of the ferry we nearly ended up back on the same boat(Ha) it was fun though.
Only ever do burnouts as the doors are opening to get off (then its too late to stop you leaving) and be prepared to get a new bike before the next crossing as P&O will take the reg and flag it as banned from future crossings. Oh yes and the ventura effect on the smoke wips it up the passenger stair wells and sets the smoke detectors off, load masters go mental, and it not big or clever
Wheelies are ok either way but watch the metal decks as the are a bit slippery.
Le Shuttle however will ban you for wheeling down the inside of the train and go totally mental at burn outs, they have even more of a sense of humour failure than P&O as when you set their smoke alarms off all sorts of smoke screens and curtains drop, the emergency services get called automatically, the train shuts down and it takes about half an hour to reset everything, they actually make "arresting" noises and rant about very large fines. Oh the joys of youth.
