Wanted, Bioprocess Product Specialist (Sales)

Championing new product technology and other associated products by working with the distributors, commercial team, sales support team, service and operations to maximise revenue for the cell culture systems business. The main focus will be providing tactical sales support to enable the company to achieve commercial objectives. This will include selling and demonstration activities supported by the territory based distributor sales teams, and applications support both pre-sales and during installation of systems. The secondary focus will be supporting the implementation of the strategic plan for cell culture by helping to produce sales tools, gathering market information and feedback for product development. These activities will be closely co-ordinated with those of the other members of the sales support team ands also with the objectives of the Sales Director. In addition the post holder may also have specific account management responsibilities.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level in a relevant life science discipline with a successful track record in the automation and/or cell culture market segments either in a product specialist role or as a scientist with a commercially oriented outlook. PhD or post graduate research experience in a related subject such as cell biology or bioprocessing would be a distinct advantage
Experience
Proven knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry including biologics process development and a clear understanding of the importance of cells as ‘tools’ and ‘reagents’ in research and biologics development
Hands on experience of cell culture techniques
Established network of useful industry contacts
Experience of working in a commercial environment either in a sales role or from supporting sales teams is also desirable
