Car is in for some warranty repairs. Whilst it's very nice to get a courtesy car (04 Grand Cherokee) it is like driving a trampoline. Dont know how long I will last in it. What is the worst CC you have had ??

A Hyundai Atoz - tight fisted fleet company bastards.

To avoid the inevitable "Lets laugh at Greg and his disabled chariot", I wisely worked from home that day. Had several knocks on the door asking how the disabled person coped with all the stairs - yeah yeah, ha ha.

I once got a V reg (as in 1977 or whenever) Mini 1000 from the TVR dealer as the previous service client had just written off their courtesy car that morning and it was allegedly all they had!!!

Saxo 1.1 and Corsa :|

That was back in the Day, now, if they dont provide a decent car, they simply get told they wont get my service.

Its astonishing how 'all of a sudden' they have a demonstrator they can lend you

Still, fair play I suppose, 9/10 people will take the Saxo!

My Maser is also away. It is being put back together after a lovely lady reversed her Jeep Grand Cherokee into it while it was parked outside my house. . What is the rear visibility out of those things anyway?

I've currently got a BMW 325Ci as a CC, not so bad, but it is the automotive equivalent of a frontal lobotomy.

Rear vis is fantastic. You can see for miles at 5 foot and above. Its like looking at your stairs through yuor letter box. Might walk to work tomorrow.

Mine is at the menders as well - between us we're not doing much for the image of Maserati reliability!

If I don't get it back in time for the outing to Stanford Hall on Sunday I will not be a happy chap.

To be fair, short of Maserati including some sort of perimeter defence shield on the extras list, I don't think they can be blamed for my car's attendance at the garage.

Perhaps some sort of claxon which sounds when it detects the combination of the fairer sex and a large "off-road" vehicle within 100 yards of the car? What is it with these tanks in central london anyway? Grrr.

Seems whilst i cant stand the 4x4 trampoline it is at least a decent attempt to put you in something that wont get your customers asking if you are going bankrupt. I did make sure that the service guy at Meridien was fully aware that I had planned to go up to Sundays event and turning up in the Jeep is not an option, which he fully agreed with, but we will see. Maybe it wont be ready and they will lend me the QP...no i didnt thinks so either.

My old TVR garage cars CC's went from
Cincqucento(Cant be arsed finding out how to spell it) sporting (Red seat belts ) to a Mistubishi Evo IV. With rear wing set to full down force.
Can't think why? Seemed to remeber him saying it was a new set of typres so i should be nice to them as well

Hi!

I'm new to this forum so forgive me for jumping in.

I've done 15,000 miles in my Spyder, Driven from London to Morocco and Back on the Cannonball Run and Driven from London to Pescara and back twice. None stop no pit stops (Other than fuel)

Had 2-3 recalls and the only serious expense has been a new set of shoes. Other than the 2 services.

And CC Cars i've been given some rather nice Audi A4s which i seriously pushed. (ended up ticking for hours after i shut down the engines!!! )

So i guess i've just ended up with a well put together one???

Cheers

Albert

Back in the Maser. Got it today (friday) exactly as promised with all the work done promptly and to more than my satisfaction. Excellent service from Meridien. I was quite happy to give the Trampoline back. Whos is the 3200 (MAZ 1234 or similar) having work done? Sure i recognised it. Anyway car drives so much better after the work. Might be on for this Sundays jaunt up the M1 now. Hope to see some of you there.

Cheers

Ian

Well my car is currently coming to the end of the third week languishing in Maranello's workshop. They seem to be unable to diagnose an electrical gremlin that keeps causing the check engine light to come on and put the car into limp home mode.

Not very impressed that they can't do better to be honest. I should have tried to get the car recovered to Meridien (the car originally came from there) as I have always found them to be very competent.

I'm beginning to forget what it's like to drive the thing!

I'm beginning to think I should have spent the extra on a 2001 car. The only reason I didn't was because out of my shortlist at the time I liked the colour combo of my ('00) car best!
