Lovely layout info your wannabee terrorist if it ever happens again ?
How the heck do they see the bloke with the table tennis bats or stop line, does the pilot lean forward or is there an under cockpit camera ?
Aircraft this size don't tend to use the table tennis bat approach any more, but use a system of lights, mirrors or even just extended lines way out to the side to see when they should stop their aircraft. Some light reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_Docking_Guidan...How the heck do they see the bloke with the table tennis bats or stop line, does the pilot lean forward or is there an under cockpit camera ?

They put the cockpit a lot lower than a 747 (it's on the lower deck) so it's more similar to a smaller plane. The wingtips are another matter. How the heck do they see the bloke with the table tennis bats or stop line, does the pilot lean forward or is there an under cockpit camera ?

Halfords seat covers fitted?
My thoughts exactly
My experience (a few years of Airbus flying) is that the Airbus seats up front are wonderful. Some disagree, but I got on very well with them.
Now, on my current steed, I adore everything about the aircraft, it is magnificently capable, but my god I hate the seats. After a few hours, I can really feel it, and consequently have to do a good back stretch when I get to my hotel/home, so I don't feel it the next day...
