Brooks' resignation statement howler
Discussion
Her resignation statement contains the following sentence:
"This is now detracting attention from all our honest endeavours to fix the problems of the past."
Surely what she meant was either "This is now diverting attention from....." or "This is now detracting from...."
Can I have her job please Mr Murdoch?

You are assuming she wrote it. I would suggest otherwise. Lawyers would have had a hand in it. This is a corporate and not a personal act. "This is now detracting attention from all our honest endeavours to fix the problems of the past."

She was never a trained journalist - she started at Nwes International as a secretary. So maybe she was a trained secretary.
That tosser Piers Morgan *saw her talents* - I wonder what they were?

Why is she allowed to resign and isn't sat in jail right now awaiting trial?
A better penalty would be to sit her in the sun.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
