Loughborough Restaurants
Discussion
Not sure if I can do this, or if this is the right place to do this but I would like to recommend a restaurant in Loughborough called The Basin.
Its a Thai/Chinese/Japanese (basically oriental food mix) restaurant and its bloody amazing. The place is always packed full so I guess I can't be the only one who thinks its nice.
Favourites are the sushi, Thai Green/Red curries, Crispy squid and Spring Rolls. Proper delicious if you like this kind of food.
Second on the list would probably be the Manor House Farm. Small pub just outside L'boro in Quorn. Go for the Steak and Ale Pie.

I stumbled across this thread and thought I’d add my thoughts:
1) For posh eating and plenty of courses The Woodhouse in Woodhouse Eves is good. I’ve taken the Granny there at Christmas for a couple of years in a row. Their wine list is also acceptable.
2) Brown’s Lane in Loughborough is also pretty good. My parents and their friends swear by it, personally I think it’s overpriced for the quality but it’s always packed so what do I know?!
3) For Sunday Roasts I’ve had a couple of great meals at The Curzan Arms, also in Woodhouse Eves. It changed hands last year, I believe, and the standard of the food and beer has really improved. You will probably need to book to get a table at popular times though.
4) For perfectly good value honest pub food, try The Griffin Inn in Swithland down the road. Nothing spectacular, but well priced and pretty quick.
5) For good pub food in Loughborough, try the Swan In The Rushes. They do a good Chilli, portions are good and it’s pretty well priced. You can’t beat sitting there with a good pint in front of the fire on a winter day.
6) For dirt cheap food try the Noodle Bar. Not the best food in the world, but so damn cheap and quick for when you are starving! It’s located in the back half of the White Horse pub near Bedford square.
