How fast do you drive yours ?

Only ever stick to the speed limit me. Haven't yet worked out why the car needs gears 3 4 and five.

Ok, I understand where he is coming from. Lets ask the question another way.

Do you drive the car as it was intended (around the speed limit on the road or flat out on the track) and risk stone chips or is yours a 'garage queen' investment? Both are equally admirable but different strategies.

I go between using it flat out and then crying when it gets the odd stonechip or scratch. I admire the perfect cars and aspire to them, but every time I get in and press the throttle it is all forgotten........................

I try to avoid driving conspicuously fast on motorways (rarely exceed 0.9 leptons), but I take a fairly flexible approach to rural A- and B-road speed limits when it's safe to do so. Touch wood, the only time I've been stopped so far I was let off with a friendly chat so I'd like to think I'm driving to the spirit of the law. Just not always the letter.

That said, TVR-wise I drive at precisely 0 mph currently because the damn thing is in the workshop still.

I drive mine rather steadily, or at least so far. You don't have to thrash the living daylights out of them to extract pleasure from them. The smell, soundtrack and intimacy is always present no matter what the speed.

I drive mine as it was intended, well within my own limits and only where it is safe to do so. She's not a garage queen and has a fair few stone chips including 2 rather deep ones, but thats a peril of choosing to actually drive it, though on the mechanical side she wants for nothing (as my service bills will attest).
That said rarely will I have a play with another car unless I know them or am on a specific run/hoon. I don't know their driving style or limits and have no idea how far they will push to 'win' as some other marque owners try to do. A fun run on the twisties is one thing but a constant up your chuff desire to get past and prove they're willing to go 5mph quicker than you is not fun. More often than not I'll pull over and let them past if I even think they'll want to play - just not worth it for me.
