I have been given a pit lane hositility ticket for the F1 at Silverstone in July.

I am not a fan particularly of F1 any longer, and would never pay Silverstone the extortionate amount of money they want for a ticket, but ...

Is it worth going ?? It must come down to the fact that I would never buy it for myself and wouldn't pay to get in, and it is a spectacle, so it's worth it ??

However, I wouldn't pay to go as there is no racing, very little overtaking and the support races aren't always the best ? I'll be stuck inside a homogenously sealed hostility area with a load of pissed muppets who wouldn't know a carbon air venturi tunnel from Dartford tunnel ??

What d'ya reckon ???

maybe you have a pass to Ralf vs JPM part 2?

If you mean a pit lane HOPSITALITY ticket, then go , you'll get to see the cars up close, wear a spangly pass round your neck, and feel important all day

Seriously, if you have no interest in the sport, then don;t bother, I would say it's worth it just for the sound of the cars alone, let alone the free booze

I've got the same and shall be going with full cheesy grin mode on...

Have been to quite a few F1 GP @ Silverstone in the past but a couple of years ago decided I wouldn't pay to go again as (and I'm sorry to say) the facilities simply just aren't up to it.

Then along came my pit passes for this year and moral question - if I go I'm only helping the corporate bit outnumber the private bit and only making it worse. But if I don't go I won't get the chance to meet the team people etc.

So I'm going, will enjoy it but... I've refused the corp transport home at 15:30 and shall be standing at the fances to watch the far better classic race afterwards and cadging a lift home with a marshall...

If its free might as well go. I decided some time ago not to go again, although wentin 2002 as I got a cheap ticket on Ebay.

To pay full face value for a ticket is a waste of time and money for the reasons given above.

If you don't want it - can I have it?
I've already bought my weekend ticket for the GP...so a paddock pass would be great

What I've got is a pit lane pass, grandstanmd ticket and entry along with a lunch voucher ..... I reckon I'll go as I would never buy it for myself.

The bummer is it looks like the people I thought were going aren't and I'm unlikely to know anyone with me !

Crikey are they giving away luncheon vouchers with tickets as an incentive these days? I used to get these! Rich...

Gift Horse....... Mouth......look....etc.

I can't stand football but have had a few jollies at a few Premiership games and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

What have you got to loose apart from a day out one's life!
