I wonder what their short field performance is like though? Doesn't look like the sort of aircraft that would be happy operating on grass.

If you read the write-up the owner has operated them off grass extensively, although needs 500-600m which precludes some of the smaller strips
Of course strip condition has a lot to do with performance too

Hi there

Long EZ : they are not designed for gras strips.
They prefer concrete
Have never tried mine on grass
Needs a good 600 meters
Fully loaded, two onboard and lots of av gas and you ll need a bit more

BUT, its a fun plane, fast, stable, you for sure can go a long distanc with it
unfortunately forget about brining more than your toothbrush
