Comedy... race was due to start 5pm, was delayed 2 hours while they dried the track, now stopped after 27 laps as it's raining... bunch of poofs!

Try doing 220 mph on slicks - in the rain.

Impossible to run safely on ovals in the rain - even if the cars were running on wets. It's never been done.

On the other hand - in pre-war days, was the banking used at Brooklands when it was raining?

OK, so the race has been postponed until today, which is great for us in the UK as we have a holiday, but do the US? Or will 400,000 people pull a sicky at work today so that they can go watch the race?

Er.....nope. I saw the race restart and finish, Sky Sports 3 dropped some boring football or tennis replay and showed the race, after it had restarted.. I won't spoil things and say who won or anything, but I can say it was still light when they finished

They may show the race replay today or highlights..

I have always considered him a very dangerous driver, but that was amazing.

He must have had white walled tyres after that move.

Thank's for the Brooklands pic - I had a sneaking suspicion that they did.

Oops, I switched off the moment the commentaors said "There's no chance of the race restarting today" and I've just turned the TV on now to watch the restarted race. Only now have I realised that it's already been and gone, bugger. Oh well, only a year to go until the next one

They will repeat it again on Sky Sports, tend to at least a 2 or 3 times.

Eurosport appear to have some highlights at 00:45 tonight... other than that, nothing showing on the listings!
