New job, weight loss suggestions?
Discussion
Started a new job (after months of looking for work). Nothing special. Just involves lots of heavy lifting of flight cases, props and (those b
d) Stage steel decks as part of event crew. It's not particularly something I'd go for. but I want to use it as an excuse to lose some fat. gain muscle. generally look slimmer/leaner.
I am 5'7'' and 15 and a half stone/100kg.
I'd like to be 12 and a half stone/80kg (judging from photos about 4-5 years ago when I didn't realize i actually looked good).
currently I always skip breakfast, but i'm trying to force myself. Lunchtime, I eat whatever is around (usually a supermarket sandwich meal deal). Dinner is whatever is being cooked, so I just have a sensible portion size (palm full of rice. fist of meat. and a huge wad of salad).
I can never be bothered to wake up and spend time doing breakfast, so I'm thinking of buying protein shakes and having these (it beats spending £1 on nutrament/nurishment which is just tons of sugar).
My first 4hour shift had me shattered, arm, back and leg muscles were sore for 1-2 days. So far I've only done 3-4hour shifts, but it really works me hard. I sweat buckets, which makes me think its doing me some good.
WHat are peoples suggestions in terms of calorie intake/diet, so that I can make the most off my work?

Firstly you need to eat breakfast. If needs be, get protein shake but blend it with oats + frozen berries. Takes no time to prepare and quick to consume.
Try to eat small and often and lots of protein. Cut out all fats except those from 'good' sources (as an example, nuts)
Drink more water
Your body will get used to the work you're doing eventually so you may need to do some more weights at the gym or get more inventive about how you carry things around the warehouse.
From the sounds of it you probably eat a lot of processed, convenient stuff, which won't help you losing weight.
