realise it has brakes, but the tyres are p[retty small, the deck must be slippy, and a helicopter doesn't have the lowest of CofGs.

At 2:06 you should see a little "claw" come out the bottom of the chopper and grip on to the "mesh" that's the centre of the deck.

As well as the harpoon decklock system the Lynx can apply negative collective pitch to the main rotor, giving a bit more 'downforce' when on the deck.

Makes it interesting when they're shuffling these helos around with other a/c - was at Yeovilton watching some Mk8 (Lynxes) and Mk3s move around - the Mk3s were sitting on the ground getting moved around. Occasionally they'd stop and a Mk8 would take flight and slowly amble a few feet over the ground and move somewhere else.
